Get paid to post your real ranking

Last updated 18 August 2026

Reelist pays film creators a flat fee to post their real ranking. One post, your voice, your format. No script, no approval queue, no affiliate link to babysit.

Who runs it

Sam Hopkins, founder. Reelist is a small operation, so the person who emails you is the person who sets the fee and sends the money. If you want to check that any of this is real before you reply, write to partnerships@reelist.watch and you will get an answer from a human.

How it works

  1. We agree a flat fee before you make anything

We look at how your recent posts actually perform, put a number in writing, and you say yes or no. Nothing gets filmed before the fee is agreed.

  2. You post your real ranking, in your normal format

Rank films you have genuinely seen, with the app on screen and your creator code in the caption. Talking head, list format, tier chaos, whatever you already make. It is your edit and your opinion.

  3. You disclose it, properly

Say it is a paid partnership out loud and in the caption, per the FTC endorsement rules, with the platform's branded content toggle switched on. We would rather lose a post than have you post an undisclosed ad.

  4. You are paid within 48 hours of the post going live

Send us the link, we send the money by PayPal or Wise. No net terms, no invoice portal, no chasing.

The money

How we pay

Flat fee per post, agreed before you make anything, paid within 48 hours of the post going live.

We price on views, not followers. What we care about is how many people watch your posts and whether they argue about films in your comments, so a small account with a room full of opinionated regulars is worth more to us than a big one nobody replies to. There is no commission, no revenue share, and nothing you have to sell.

The terms, in plain words

The signed agreement says all of this in longer sentences. Nothing in it contradicts what is on this page.

  • One post. That is the whole ask. If we both want to do more later, that is a separate conversation and a separate fee.
  • You keep creative control. We never send a script, we do not write your caption, and we do not approve your edit before it goes up.
  • 90 days of category exclusivity. For 90 days after your post you do not take a paid post from another movie ranking or film logging app. Everything outside that category is yours to take.
  • Ads only if you agree to them. We may run your post as a Spark or Partnership ad only if you opt into that in the contract, and it is priced separately from the post fee.
  • A short signed agreement and a W-9 before payment. One page to sign and the tax form your accountant expects. We do not ask you to pay for anything, ever.

Questions

Who is this for?

Film creators whose audience argues about movies: rankings, tier lists, top fives, hot takes, the Letterboxd-shaped corner of the internet. If your comments are full of people telling you your number three is wrong, this is for you.

Do I need a big following?

No. We price on views, not followers, so a 12k account that gets watched beats a 200k account that does not. We have a budget for creators at every size and we would rather work with ten people whose audiences actually show up.

How is the fee set?

From how your last several posts performed, mostly views, adjusted for how well your audience fits what the app does. We quote a number, you counter or accept, and it is in writing before you make anything. If you have a rate card, send it.

When do I get paid?

Within 48 hours of the post going live, by PayPal or Wise, once we have your signed agreement and your W-9. Send us the link the day you post and the money follows.

What is Reelist?

Reelist is an iPhone app that ranks the films you have seen by comparing two at a time instead of asking you to invent a star rating. It is about to land on the App Store; the home page has the details, and the FAQ explains how the ranking works.

Can I say whatever I want about the films?

Yes. That is the entire point. Rank the films honestly, including the ones you hated, and disagree with the app's score in public if that is what you think. A post where you pretend to like something is worth nothing to us, because your audience can tell.

What about my Letterboxd?

Nothing changes. Keep logging, keep posting, keep whatever you already run. The exclusivity is about not taking money from a competing ranking app for 90 days, not about which platforms you use or what you say on them.
